Vinca - all day

Vinca: between paths, history and typical products

Vinca: one of the most beautiful places in Lunigiana, nestled between the Apuan Alps, where nature and panoramas are both protagonists and setting of a village where new and ancient architectures mix together creating a truly suggestive context. The view that comes to those who arrive in the country is a breathtaking scenery, protected by the beauty of the mountains that surround it. Through our excursion, we will get to know the nature and geology that characterizes this place, without neglecting the fact that we will look out on one of the most suggestive Foci of the place, that is Foce Rasori. Once we have reached our goal, we will partially retrace our steps, until we reach Capanna Garnerone and from there go down until we reach Vinca, admiring the Madonna del Cavatore. Once in town, we will make the guided tour. The town of Vinca, unfortunately famous for the massacre suffered during the Second World War, has a very fascinating history, where political quarrels, "particular" policies and subsistence economics are the masters. The town is also famous for the production of a typical product, or "Il vinca bread", which has the peculiarity of remaining good for several days, in addition to its truly appetizing taste. We will have the opportunity to savor it by having a snack at the end of the day.
